Obituary for Anthony Earl "Tony" Hird Anthony "Tony" Earl Hird, age 28, passed away on September 13, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Anthony was the partner of Kelli Haun, together they had a one year old daughter, Kaylee Rae Hird. Anthony was born on November 14, 1988. He was the son of James and Debbie (Byrne) Hird of Blakesburg, Iowa. Anthony attended Eddyville Blakesburg School. He was employed by Local 12 60 Carpenters Union, where he worked as a scaffolder. Anthony is survived by his partner Kelli Haun; daughter, Kaylee Hird of Blakesburg; parents, James and Debbie Hird; brother Matthew (Jodie) Hird; niece, Raelee Simmons, two nephews, William Simmons, and Jaiden Hird, all of Blakesburg. He is also survived by his grandmother, Sondra Mize of Blakesburg, grandmother, Mary Byrne of Big Rapids, Michigan; grandfather, Mike (Barb) Hird of Belnap, IA; step grandfather, J.W. Mize of Arkansas; aunt and uncle, Chuck and Nicole Enlow of Blakesburg; four cousins, Steven (Samantha) Enlow and their daughter Lynzie Enlow of Blakesburg, and Jessica (Mika) Enlow of Ottumwa, Iowa Anthony was preceded in death by his uncle John Hird; grandfather, David Byrne, great grandparents, Leroy and Bernice Hird, great grandparents, Earl and Dorthy Findley, great grandparents, Norman and Lela Brown, and great grandparents, William and Geraldine Byrne. Anthony enjoyed being with his family and friends, shooting bow, fishing, skateboarding, and playing video games. Anthony was a very caring and giving person. He was full of life, and always tried to make a person laugh. A Celebration of Anthony's Life will be held in Blakesburg Cemetery at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 23, 2017 with Pastor Levi Morrissey officiating. There will be a gathering following services at 108 East State, Blakesburg, Iowa 52536. Memorials may be directed to the family.
