Barbara (Worth) Cernetisch, age 92, of Ottumwa, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022. She was born June 3, 1929 in Ottumwa to Floyd and Lucille (Covey) Worth. \n\nBarbara graduated from Ottumwa High School, class of 1948. She married Edwin D. Cernetisch September 18, 1949 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ottumwa. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, gardening, and volunteering her time at Seneca and Milestone.\n\nShe is survived by her daughter, Cassandra of Cedar Rapids; son, Douglas (Susie) of Apache Junction, AZ; grandson, Blake of West Liberty, two great grandchildren; sister, Georgia (Roger) Brown of Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Lucille Worth; step-father, Lewis Conder, and two sons, Floyd and Matthew. \n\nGraveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in Shaul Cemetery with Pastor Jeremy Skinner officiating. Visitation and processional gathering for the cemetery will be from 10 - 10:45 a.m., at Sinnott Funeral Home in Ottumwa. Memorials may be directed to the National Breast Cancer Association.
