Brent Pettyjohn Obituary (1980 - 2021)

Brent Pettyjohn, age 41, of Lovilia, passed away on November 28, 2021 at his home. He was born on June 11, 1980 to Dennis and Mary (Kristof) Pettyjohn at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia. Brent was employed at Pella Corp for over twenty years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed privy digging, arrowhead hunting, and also enjoyed working on his rat rod. He spent many days at the North End in Lovilia with his buddies. Most importantly he loved all of his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Mary Pettyjohn of Lovilia; brother, Josh (Alicia) Pettyjohn of Lovilia; sister, Jessica (Shane) Nichols of Lovilia; grandparents, Kenneth "Ben" and Charlotte Pettyjohn of Lovilia; nieces, Molly Pettyjohn of Oskaloosa, Lyla Essick of Lovilia; nephews, Steve Pettyjohn of Texas, Trenton, Tanner, and Tyce Nichols of Lovilia. Several aunts, uncles, any many, many friends also survive Brent. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Della Kristof.
