Candi Johnson Obituary (1953 - 2022)

Candice Rae Johnson, age 68, of Melrose Iowa, passed peacefully in her sleep at her home, January 18, 2022. She was born in Fairmont, Minnesota on January 31, 1953 to Loren Niss and Geraldine Niss. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Kelley Johnson of Ankeny Iowa, her parents and two siblings. She is survived by her son, Tom Smith of Naples, Florida; son Kyle Kelso of LeRoy, Iowa; daughter Brandie Johnson of Deloit, Iowa, daughter Amanda Boyle of Gretna, Nebraska and daughter Jessica White of Windsor Heights, Iowa. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to many. She was a huge fan of the Broncos football, lover of music and baker of the best chocolate chips cookies ever. She will be cremated per her wishes and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
