Cara Lea DeMoss Sharp, proud Bulldog, Warrior, and Cyclone, passed away at age 45 on May 6, 2020 at her residence in Glendale, California.\nCara was born on September 3, 1974 at Ottumwa Hospital to Leland and Marthann DeMoss. The youngest of three by many years and dubbed "little squirt" by her dad, Cara always looked up to her brother Brian and sister Julie. Along with dozens of neighborhood kids and wide open fields and woods right out her backdoor, she had a Normal Rockwell Americana childhood. \nAn animal lover and music aficionado with a disdain for hair bands, Cara was the coolest band geek ever. She could dance all night and boggied best with her kids. Snuggling up with her fuzzy, four legged ones while watching Bravo was her respite. A self proclaimed nomad, traveling and having new experiences was always on her mind. \nCara's legacy will be carried on by her husband Christian James Sharp, three sons Gordon, Spencer, and Wyatt, siblings Brian and Julie, relatives, and other close friends. \nCara was laid to rest with parents Leland, lover of the arts and the farts, and Marthann, sharp as a tack Mahin, at Ottumwa Cemetery.
