Charles "Chuck" Clayton Casady III, age 61, of Albia, died on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born on March 19, 1960 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Charles Clayton II and Patricia Ardith "Ardy" (Sullivan) Casady. \n\nChuck graduated from Albia High School, class of 1978. He married Nancy Golob on July 14, 1979 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Melrose. They were blessed with two children, Tiffany and Clayton. \n\nHe worked at Hy-Vee Wholesale for many years. He was an avid Notre Dame fan. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing pickup basketball games, all the many farm animals they raised, and especially watching his children and grandchildren in their sports and activities. Family was Chucks entire life. \n\nChuck is survived by his wife, Nancy Casady of Albia; children, Tiffany (Brad) DeMoss, Clayton (Emmalee) Casady; grandchildren, Hunter, Chloe, Lilly, Matty K. DeMoss, Jett and Luke Casady all of Albia; sister, Tracy Casady of Albia; brother-in-law, Mike (Paula) Golob of Washington State; and niece and nephew, Devin and Jason Golob. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Clayton II and Ardy Casady, and father and mother-in-law, Pete and Lucille Golob. \n\nA Mass of Christian Burial will held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Georgetown with Father Mark Yates, C.PP.S. officiating. Interment will be at a later date in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Georgetown. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, opening to the public at 2:00 p.m., with Chuck's family present from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday evening at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday evening, followed by the reciting of the rosary at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Cemetery in Georgetown.
