Constance "Connie" Marie Adler, age 79, of Albia, died on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the Monroe Care Center in Albia. \n\nFuneral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia. Interment will follow in Oak View Cemetery in Albia. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia, opening to the public at 2:00 p.m., with family being present from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to EveryStep Hospice in Albia. Online condolences may be left for the family at sinnottfuneralhome.com or the Sinnott Funeral Home Facebook page. \n\nConnie was born on November 3, 1942, in Oskaloosa, Iowa to Walter Kenneth and Gladys Marie "Cover" Geyer. She graduated from Albia High School, class of 1960. She attended college in Minnesota, and became a dental assistant. Connie married Thomas M. Adler on June 18, 1961 in Albia, Iowa. She worked for both D.K. and later Don Orelup. She later stayed at home to raise their children, and also helped Tom with his auctions. She then worked at the Albia Day Care and Preschool, and later at the Monroe Care Center as the Activities Director. She brought the bird aviary to the nursing home. She retired from Quicktron in Albia in 2012. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Albia. She was active in PEO-Chapter H. She enjoyed design, especially home design, and had drawn many house floor plans. She loved all babies, cherished time spent with family, and especially enjoyed going to all the grandchildren's events. \n\nShe is survived by children, Jeff (Lynn) Adler of Lovilia, Jill (Marc) Wynn of Lovilia; grandchildren, Nick (Michelle) Beary, Katie Beary, MaKenna Adler, Nathaniel and Luke Wynn; great grandchildren, Grace and Nicholas Beary; Sisters, Roxie (Fred) Pirnat of Normal, IL, Cindy (Dick) Kading of Coralville, IA; brother-in-law, Dr. William (Vicki) Adler; nieces and nephews, Julie and David Adler, Karen Zolfaghari, Becky White, and John Kading, and great nieces and nephews, Owen Adler, Hunter & Hayden Adler, and Brooke Zolfaghari. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Gladys Geyer; husband, Thomas Adler; and infant son, John Todd Adler.
