Obituary for \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t David Blaine DesPlangue\n\r\n\t\t\t\tDateline: HamiltonDavid Blaine DesPlanque, age 63, of Hamilton died on early Monday morning, June 17, 2013 at the Knoxville Hospital Emergency Room. He was born on February 22, 1950 to Marceau and Vera (Morgan) DesPlanque Jr. David graduated from Twin Cedars High School, class of 1968. He owned and operated Red Line Moving Service in the Des Moines area. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and especially golfing. In 2009 he was Senior Champion of the Des Moines city tournament. He also has had a hole in one, which he was very proud of. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Chicago Cubs fan. He liked walking on the beach while he was in Florida, and loved his GTO, sports cars, and his motorcycle. David loved everyone, especially his family and cat Mr. Kitty. He is survived by his mother, Vera DesPlanque of Hamilton, children, Terri (Cory) Collins of Albia, Brian (Shantelle) DesPlanque of Bussey, grandchildren, Zachary McCombs, Cody McCombs, Jordan DesPlanque, Alexis DesPlanque, sisters, Rhonda (Gary) Morgan of Albia, Laura (Steve) Davis of Hamilton, seven nieces and nephews, and eleven great nieces and nephews, and special friend Trish Howard of Florida. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, father, Marceau DesPlanque Jr., sisters, Linda Dobbs, and Marlene Crady. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lovilia. Burial will follow services in the Hamilton Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 20, 2013 opening to the public at 2:00 pm with family present from 6-8 pm Thursday evening. Memorials may be directed to the family.
