Gloria Owens

Gloria Renee Owens, age 69, of Lovilia, Iowa passed away Monday November 29, 2021. She was born on May 25, 1952 in Monroe County to Warren Earl and Viola Hester (Chance) Jones. She was a graduate of Albia High School, class of 1970 where she was a member of art club, glee club, and Future Homemakers of America. She married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Stevens Owens on July 27, 1973 at the United Methodist Church in Lovilia.

Gloria enjoyed spending time with family, and loved showing off pictures of her grandchildren. Gloria was a creative spirit and enjoyed painting, drawing and quilting. She was a member of the Lovilia United Methodist Church, where she helped organize and provide artwork for the church's newsletter.

Survivors include one son, Tyler Owens of Lovilia, four grandchildren; Hunter, Carter, Oakley and Payton Owens.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents; husband Jerry, and brother Ronald.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Lovilia United Methodist Church with Pastor's Dennis and Teresa Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Lovilia. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021, opening to the public at 2:00 p.m., and Gloria's family will be present to greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday evening at Sinnott Funeral Home, Gilbert Chapel in Lovilia.
