Obituary for \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Kathryn Mae Campbell\n\r\n\t\t\t\tKathryn Mae Campbell, age 83, of Albia, died Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Monroe Care Center in Albia. She was born on June 16, 1929 to Carroll and Beatrice (O'Conner) Dunn in Los Angeles, California. Kathryn graduated from Ottumwa Heights, class of 1947. She married David Rex Campbell on January 29, 1948 in Albia. They were blessed with four children: Helen, Jim, Mary, and Bob. David died in November of 1999. Kathryn worked in the office at the Monroe County Hospital for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albia, and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Albia Country Club for many years, and truly enjoyed golfing. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially enjoyed being around her grandchildren. Kathryn is survived by her children: Helen (Aaron) Quandt of Fort Wayne, IN, Jim (Maureen) Campbell of Albia, and Bob (Robin) Campbell of Seguin, TX, nine grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Mary Louise Pettorini, and one sister, Mary Ann Biggs. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albia with Father Mike Volkmer C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will follow services in St. Mary's Cemetery in Albia. Visitation will open to the public at 9:00 am on Tuesday with Kathryn's family being present from 5-8 pm Tuesday evening at the Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Albia. There will also be a Rosary conducted by St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society at 4:00 p.m. and a Christian Wake Service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
