Kenneth Johnson

Kenneth C. Johnson, age 89, of Ottumwa, died on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines.

He was born February 20, 1932 in Wapello County, Iowa to Adolph and Marie (Miller) Johnson. He married Genevieve Crane on March 18, 1987. He worked for the State Highway Department in Ottumwa. Genevieve preceded him in death on September 9, 2014.

Kenneth enjoyed his flowers, gardening, and spending time with his grandsons.

He is survived by his son, Kevin (Glori) Johnson, and grandsons, Garrett L. Johnson, Jarrett T. Johnson, and Wyatt J. Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Marie Johnson; son, Neil C. Johnson, and siblings, Loren Johnson, Helen Campbell, Rex Johnson, Lucille Lowenburg, and Ruth Cobler.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 20, 2021 with Pastor DJ Danner officiating at Sinnott Funeral Home in Ottumwa. Military rites conducted by Walter Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion will be held at the funeral home. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 10-11 a.m., at Sinnott Funeral Home in Ottumwa. Mask are highly recommended for visitation and services.
