Kim Ann Paulos, age 68, of Eddyville, a loving, generous, dedicated and creative soul, passed away on June 1, 2023. Born on February 24, 1955, in Ottumwa, Iowa to Jackie Sr. and Shirley (Morehouse) McKim. Kim was a very strong willed and a protective wife and mother. She married the love of her life, Jerry Sr., on January 26, 1974, and together they built a beautiful life in Kirkville, Iowa, and later moving to rural Eddyville, Iowa. Known as Nanny to her siblings, Nana to her grandchildren, and GG to her great-grandchildren, Kim's warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met.\n\nShe worked in the cafeteria at St. Joseph's Hospital in Ottumwa, McCurdy Seed, Holub Greenhouse, Pioneer Seed and later at the EBF schools as a cook, all while being a homemaker. Kim's dedication to her family was evident in her many hobbies and interests. She loved to draw, plant flowers, and tend to her garden pond, but her passion for her family shone through in her love of cooking for them and watching her grandchildren show at the county and state fair. She also enjoyed going to the casino, mushroom hunting, collecting dolls, toys, Wizard of Oz, Santa clauses, and Elvis memorabilia, as well as garage sale-ing and thrift shopping, and she was always listening to music and passed that trait to both of her children. Kim's generous spirit extended to her community, as she often volunteered at her church, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.\n\nThroughout her life, Kim's unwavering faith in God and her commitment to her family remained the foundation of her existence. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry Sr.; children, Jerry Jr. (Michelle Glandon), Heidi (Nick) Hughes; grandchildren, Kaylynn and Trey Paulos, Maddison (Bracken) Taylor, Maisie (Jason) Pilcher, Brandt, Blake, Myleigh, Meadow and Bryant Hughes; two great grandchildren, Zander Taylor, Rayleigh Pilcher, and one on the way; two siblings, Tammy (Gary) Spears, Lorri (Larry) Bain, and a step mother, Merilee McKim.
