Lester Mervin Burrier, of Melrose, died on June 22, 2021 unexpectedly at Iowa Methodist in Des Moines. He was born July 8, 1952 to Leon and Kitty (Haynes) Burrier of Cardwell Mo. Lester was an honest and hard working man that put family above all else. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his 8 grandchildren. Lester had many friends that he considered family. Lester will be remembered by all as a kind and honest man that always kept his word and would do anything for anyone that needed him. He was proud to be called Daddy, papaw and friend. \n\nSurviving are his 2 children; daughter, Christina Golston; grandchildren, Makayla(15) Juliet (12) John (10) Darnell(8) of California, and Son, Allen (Kelly); grandchildren, Jacob (14) Allison (12) Leah (10) Jillian (6 ) of Arkansas; mother, Kitty Burrier; three brothers, Kenneth, Danny and Stephen and two sisters Patty and Brenda. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Donna Burrier and his father Leon Burrier. \n\nA Celebration of Life Graveside will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 29, 2021 in Mt.
