Mary Louise Ellison, age 82, died on November 15, 2022 at her residence near Rathbun Lake.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 18, 2022 in Iconium Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Online condolences may be left for the family at sinnottfuneralhome.com or the Sinnott Funeral Home Facebook page.

She was born on June 17, 1940 to Oscar Davis and Helen Elizabeth (Platt) Ott in Mobile, Alabama. Mary married L.G. Ellison in 1959 and they were blessed with two children, Clarence and Mark. L.G. preceded her in death in 1999. She loved to cook, mushroom hunt, going fishing, camping, snow birding to Dolphin Island, Alabama, and especially spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her sons, Clarence James (Sherry Yoakum) Ellison of Colfax, Mark (Terri Lynn) Ellison of Ankeny; granddaughter, Shelbee Marie (Andrew) Papousek of Van Meter; siblings, Patricia Morgan, David Ott, Jean (James) Lowe; and her significant other, Bill Hogue. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Helen Ott; husband, L.G. Ellison, and sister, Elizabeth Cayton.
