Margaret Kay Day, age 78, of Ottumwa passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at her home in Ottumwa. She was born on November 28, 1941 in Ottumwa to Chester Lewis and Olive Marie (Harrington) Day. \n\nShe worked for Norwest Bank, Ottumwa Credit Bureau, and the Wapello County Attorney's Office. She enjoyed crafts, design drafting, dogs, and driving around with friends and neighbors looking at architecture, local history and nature. She enjoyed working in her garden beds and never missed having a family gathering for everyone's birthday and holidays. \n\nMargaret is survived by one brother, Steve (Debbie) Day of South Dakota; sister, Patricia Day of Ottumwa; nieces and nephews, Jason Day of Ottumwa, Christoper (Tomi Jo) Day of Drakesville, Jessica Hatcher of Chillicothe, MO, and many great nieces, and nephews, and three great great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Olive, and one sister, Rosalie. \n\nMargaret has been cremated per her wishes, and Graveside Services will be held in Shaul Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Serving Davis and Wapello Counties.
