Margaret Randall, 99, of Ottumwa, Iowa died November 26, 2020 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center after a short illness. At her request no services will be held.\n \nMargaret was born February 24, 1921 in Ottumwa, Iowa to William and Jennie Havens Baker. She married William "Bill" Randall on October 12th, 1940 in Lancaster Missouri. He preceded her in death August 8th, 1994. They raised 1 son, Gary Lee Young. He preceded both his mother and father in death. \n \nMargaret was raised and lived her whole life in Ottumwa, Iowa. In 1953 she and her husband Bill moved into their forever home that they built together. She resided in that home for the next 67 years. She was very proud of the craftsman's ship and knowledge that Bill had to provide them with a home to raise their son Gary. She prided herself in being by his side and him teaching her how to be a contractor. Margaret was a very independent woman, she loved her family, worked hard to maintain their home, and loved to exercise by walking all over Ottumwa. She may have been small in stature, but what she lacked in size she made up for in personality. She loved to talk about her life growing up and how stubborn she was toward her parents. She was very particular in her appearance and her home. She always wanted the "best of the best" for her family. Margaret lived a good, long life, never asking much of anyone except for maybe an occasional sip of Jack Daniels. \n \nMargaret was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband Bill, her son Gary, a sister Elsie, brother William Baker, and brother Berle Baker. She is survived by 1 grandson Gary Lee Young and 4 great-grandchildren, and special friend Kristi Damerval.
