Life Story for \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Martha "Marty" Conway\n\n\r\n\t\t\t\tMartha "Marty" Ann Conway, age 67, of Albia passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Monroe Care Center in Albia with her family by her side. She was born on May 20, 1951 in Omaha, NE to Marvin and Clara Margaret (Smith) Pollard, and she was raised by Mary Ellen O'Donnell. \n\nMarty married Michael Conway on December 13, 1972 in Princeton, Missouri. They were blessed with four children: Wayne, Dan, David John, and Katie. Marty worked at Pamida in Albia for over twenty years. She also worked a Zip Print, and was a bartender. \n\nShe enjoyed playing cards, bingo, doing yard work, and especially hanging out at the American Legion in Albia. \n\nMarty is survived by her husband, Michael Conway of Melrose; children, Wayne Conway of Johnston, Dan (Kimberly) Conway of Indiana, David John (Val Berry) Conway of Melrose, Katie (John Diercks) Conway of Albia; grandchildren, Taylor Conway, Conor Conway, Arron Lowe, Shelby Conway, Fallyn and Ronin Conway; sisters, Delores (Jim) Carroll and Marilyn (Gary Martin) Cook, and many nieces and nephews. Marty is also survived by several half brothers and sisters from Iowa, Minnesota, and Ohio, and a special friend, Kathy Wauson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Clara Pollard, and Mary Ellen O'Donnell. \n\nA Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albia with Father Michael Volkmer C.PP.S. officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Melrose. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia with Marty's family present to greet friends. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home in Albia. A funeral luncheon will follow services at the American Legion in Albia.
