Obituary for \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Mary Jo Beary\n\r\n\t\t\t\tDateline:Albia Mary Jo Beary, age 94, of Albia, formerly of Lovilia died Sunday morning, November 2, 2014 at the Oakwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center under the care of Care Initiatives Hospice. She was born on March 18, 1920 in Melrose to Robert J. and Marie (Sinnott) Lee. She graduated from Melrose High School. She married Bill Johnson on December 17, 1943 in Melrose. He died on October 12, 1964. She later married Leo Vincent Beary on June 25, 1966 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Ottumwa. They were always seen hand and hand with big smiles on their faces. Vincent died on February 11, 2014. She was always helping people, rather it being baking for them or taking people to places they needed to be. She was truly always on the go. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, family, and especially grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Chris (Tom) Dykstra of Albia, Bob (Tammy) Beary of Albia, Donald Beary, ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; and sister Margie (John) Curran of Melrose. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Bill and Vincent, siblings, Bernard Lee, Rose Ianni, Fran Sheedy, and Bob Lee. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, November 6, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albia with Father Michael E. Volkmer C.PP.S. and Father Tim Sheedy officiating, assisted by Deacon Edwin Kamerick. Burial will follow services in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Melrose. Visitation will open to the public at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Albia with family being present from 6-8 pm Wednesday evening at the Funeral Home. A rosary will be led by St. Mary's Altar and Rosary at 4:00 pm and a Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:00 pm conducted by Deacon Edwin Kamerick.
