Obituary for \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Mary Jane Chamberlain\n\r\n\t\t\t\tMary Jane Chamberlain age 97, of Lovilia, died Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Monroe Care Center in Albia. She was born on October 10, 1917 to Rose and John (Charlot) Ballalatak in Cricket, Iowa in Mahaska County. She married Guy Chamberlain on October 24, 1939 in Lovilia. They were blessed with three sons: Gerald, Doyle, and Leon. She was a farm wife, and she also managed the Lovilia Senior Meal Site for thirty-five years. Guy died on April 1, 1998. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lovilia, St. Peter's Altar and Rosary in which she was the treasurer for many years. She liked to volunteer in organizations like the SHARE program, and Hospice to name a few. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. She is survived by her sons, Gerald Chamberlain of Lovilia, Doyle Chamberlain of Lovilia, Leon Chamberlain of Lovilia, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Guy; four brothers, John, Frank, Joe, and Mike Ballalatak, and two sisters, Ann Kraber, and Helen Woodward. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 10:30 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lovilia with Father Patrick Lumsden officiating and Deacon Edwin Kamerick assisting. Burial will follow services in Osborn Cemetery near Lovilia. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 30, 2014, opening to the public at 1:00 pm and family being present from 6-8 pm at the Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lovilia. There will be a Christian Wake Service at 6:30 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Lovilia. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Osborn Cemetery or the Lovilia Community Building..
