Obituary for \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Millie Cooper\n\r\n\t\t\t\tMillie (Midge) Cooper, age 100, of Ottumwa, formerly of Lovilia died on March 1, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ottumwa. She was born to and William and Annie (Phipps) Noe in Monroe County on February 12, 1912. Millie married Jesse Cooper on December 21, 1935 in Albia. They moved to Ottumwa, and she worked for Williams's dairy, serving ice cream and milk for many years. She also worked for the Ottumwa High School in the cafeteria as a server. Jesse died on March 28, 1991. Midge was a member of the Albia Road Baptist Church. During her younger years she played in a band with her father and brother. She was a true historian of her area, and enjoyed baking, making jelly, raising animals, and especially spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her nephew, Ron (Janice) Noe, great niece, Lori Edgington, and one great great nephew, Dustin Hinkel all of Ottumwa. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jesse, infant sister, Minnie, sister, Muriel Aldaz, and two brothers, Clarence and Dewey Noe. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lovilia with Pastors Jeremy Skinner and Loyd Osborn officiating. Burial will follow services at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lovilia. Visitation will also be held on Monday, opening at 9:00 am and will run up until service time at 11:00 am. Pallbearers will be Joe Knapp, Evertt Shields, Rocky Hubbard, Jim Bailey, and Richard Gard. Memorials may be directed to Albia Road Baptist Church.
