Obituary for \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Peggy Mae Hope\n\r\n\t\t\t\tThelma "Peggy" Mae Hope, age 95, of Albia, died on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Oakwood Specialty Care in Albia. She was born November 12, 1920 to James Selkirk and Blanche Lillian (Clouse) Hope. Peggy graduated from Albia High School. She worked in the Albia School district for 39 years, and was known as the "Blue Admit Lady". She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Moravia. She was in charge of picking out the winner of the Hope Foster Scholarship in Albia for many years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and past member of the Rebecca Lodge. She loved to talk, especially about her family. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she hosted all her family for many years. She is survived by her nephews widow, Barbara Hope of Albia; great nieces and nephews, Mary Jo Fugate of Albia, Linda (Doug) Malone of Albia, Vicki (Dale) Chidester of Austin, MN, Max Hope of Albia, Joy (Brandon) Plackett of Lasalle, IL, Chad (Chrissy) Stringfellow of Albia, and many great great and great great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Walter and Dale Hope, sister-in-law Johanna Hope, nephew, Max Hope Sr., and niece, Jo Ellen Stringfellow. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2016 at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia with Rev. Terry Chapman officiating. Burial will follow services in Oak View Cemetery in Albia. A funeral luncheon will be served following burial at the Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 9, 2016, opening to the public at 1:00 p.m. and family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia.
