Obituary for \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Phillip Lysle Frye\n\r\n\t\t\t\tPhillip Lysle Frye, age 83, of Bussey, IA died on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born in Mahaska County on June 15, 1932 to Leazure Everett and Edith Leticia (Agan) Frye. He graduated from Bussey High School, and then enlisted with the United States Army. He was in the Korean War. Phillip was a farmer his entire life. He married Patricia Ann Blackman on June 12, 1959. Patricia died on December 26, 2009. He enjoyed trap and skeet shooting, fixing all sorts of things from vehicles, computers, electronics, and anything he could get his hands on. He was an avid gun collector, and was into genealogy and history. He is survived by his daughter, Carrie Morgan of Bussey, five grandchildren, Andrew Phillip Frye of Oskaloosa, Holly (Aaron) Labertew of Indianola, Ashley Morgan, Brittany Morgan, Katelyn Morgan all of Bussey, two great grandchildren, Sophie Diane Morrison, and Ryleigh Ann Labertew, and daughter-in-law, Faye (Darwin) Vos of Pella. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Patricia, son, Keith Lyle Frye, and half sister, Bessie Louise Eveland. Funeral Services will he held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Sinnott Funeral Home in Lovilia at 10:30 am with Pastor Vince Goemaat officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Sand Ridge Cemetery in Tracy. Visitation will be on Monday, opening to the public at 1:00 pm and family will be present from 6-8 pm Monday evening at Sinnott Funeral Home in Lovilia.
