Richard "Rick" Orval Barnes, age 82, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Monroe Care Center in Albia. He was born on October 31, 1936 in California to Glenn Barnes and Lula M Stout(Barnes) \n\nRick was a truck driver for thirty-two years, and also a self employed auto body mechanic. He enjoyed racing stock cars and riding motorcycles. He never met a stranger and would help anyone he could. He was very ornery, and was the best dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend anyone could ever ask for. He will be deeply missed by all. \n\nHe is survived by his children, Randy (Jo Ellen) Oatman Barnes of Visalia CA, Terri (Rick) Grimes of Ottumwa, IA, Lisa (Mickey) Gunter of Waldron AR, Ricki K. Barnes of Visalia, CA, Sarah Adame of Oregon, eight grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Jeannie (Caudle) of Visalia CA, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. \n\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Barnes and Lula M Stout Barnes, spouse, Cheri St Germaine, and brother, Pat Barnes. \n\nRick has been cremated and services will be held at a later date.
