Richard Allen Cornwell SR., Age 62, of Albia, Iowa passed away on Wednesday July 13th, 2022 at Oakwood Speciality Care in Albia, Iowa. He was born on July 7th, 1960 in Iowa City, IA to Joanne Marie Clark and Wayne Roger Clark. Richard married Judith on March 24th 1990, but separated in 2007 but still remained married.\n\nRichard Cornwell had many different occupations throughout life. Most recently he was living in a retirement community and just enjoying life. Richard never met a stranger and many knew him for how much he loved to talk. Richard also had a love for Nascar but mostly for Matt Kenseth. He also loved the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bulls. He also had a love for Diet Mountain Dew. You would very rarely see him without one in his hand. Richard loved going to church and singing hymns as loud as he could. He also loved milkshakes. \n\nRichard is survived by his: Wife Judith Marie (Drummond) Cornwell of Belton Missouri; his four children: Richard Allen Cornwell Jr. of Belton, Missouri, Rebecca Ann (Cornwell) Smith of Des Moines, Iowa, Richelle (Shae) Marie Cornwell of Belton, Missouri and Rilinda (Lynzee) Mae Cornwell of Harrisonville, Missouri; his daughter and son in law, Darian Cornwell of Belton, Missouri and his son in law Derek Lawerence Smith of Des Moines, Iowa and his grandchildren: Daniel Eugene Smith of DesMoines, Iowa, Jaxon Lee Smith of DesMoines, Iowa and Jacob Johnston Parks Jr. of Harrisonville, Missouri. \n\nAt this time no services will be scheduled and he will be cremated. Donations towards the cost of cremation can be made to Sinnott Funeral Home. \n\nRichard Cornwell was very loved by everyone he met and will be dearly missed.
