Robert E. Prasch 89, died June 21st, 2023 at Ridgewood Specialty Care in Ottumwa, Ia. He was born December 27th, 1933 in Fort Madison, Ia to Daniel A. and Marie M. Watznauer Prasch.\n\nRobert was a Fort Madison graduate of Catholic Central High School in 1952. He married F. Jane Newton on October 11th, 1952 in Fort Madison. Robert worked at the Santa Fe Railroad yard and worked at the Dupont Plant. He served in the U.S. Airforce from 1954 - 1958. He was a Drill Instructor at Lackland Airforce Base in San Antonio, Texas.\n\nHe started college in 1958 at Northeast Missouri State University In Kirksville, Missouri. He graduated with a four year degree in accounting and business administration in two years and nine months. He worked for Professional Management for five years, taught accounting and computer programming at Indian Hills Community College Airport Campus From 1966 - 1977. He purchased E.K. Williams in 1976. Owned Accounting Associates from 1976 and finally retiring in 1995.\n\nRobert enjoyed camping and fishing at Bull Shoals, Arkansas.\nHe was preceded in death by his wife Jane, brother in law Vern Peck, and son in law Dave DeKock.\n\nSurviving is his son John (Viola) Prasch of Ottumwa; daughter Anna Konrad of Ottumwa; sister Jeanette Peck of Fort Madison, Ia; four grandchildren: Daniel (Cory) Prasch, Angela (Steve) Anglesey, Wesley (Amanda) Konrad, and Dalton Prasch; Eight great grandchildren: Hanna, Faye, Thomas, and Brin Prasch; Eli and Riley Anglesey; Mason and Madison Konrad.\n \nHis body has been cremated.
