Rudolph "Rudy" Anselm Mangs Jr., age 68, of Ottumwa, IA passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019 at his residence in Ottumwa. He was born on November 16, 1950 in Gardner, MA to Rudolph Sr. and Selma (Walkkinen) Mangs. \n\nRudy was a truck driver. He belonged to Second Chance Motorcycle Club for thirty years and they were an important part of his family. He also had many great friends and family through AA and NA communities. Rudy helped many people with his straight talk and his desire to see others overcome their battles. He adored and was very proud of his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his great nephews. He enjoyed playing with them, guiding them and watching them grow into great people. \n\nHe is survived by his daughter, Chrissie (Kim) Colquitt, granddaughters; Megan (Dustin ) Boles, Kelsey Huff, great grandchildren, Colton Boles and Maggie Boles; siblings, Peggie Carlson and Susie Becker; niece, Jennifer McCoy and fiance Rick Vandeveer; great nephews, Austin McCoy and Connor McCoy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph A. Sr. and Selma Mangs, and a step-son Jon Copeland. \n\nRudy's body has been cremated with a Celebration of Life Service being held at a later date.
