Obituary for Russ Dean Hardgrove Russ Dean Hardgrove, of Cedar, age 67, died Friday, November 11, 2011 at the Mahaska Health Partnership in Oskaloosa after a battle with cancer. He was born June 19, 1944 to John and Geraldine (Myers) Hardgrove. Russ graduated from Fremont High School, class of 1962. He received his Masters Degree in Special Education Administration from Truman State University in Kirksville. He married Darlene Robinson on May 17, 1972 in Galena, IL. They were blessed with one daughter, Malynda. , MO. He was a Special Education Supervisor for AEA Fifteen. Russ enjoyed riding his motorcycles, and music. He had a life devoted to serving and helping others. He is survived by his wife, Darlene of Cedar, daughter, Malynda (Tonya Tweeter) Hardgrove of Oskaloosa, brother, Ron (Cherie) Hardgrove of Springfield, MO, and three grandchildren: Justin, Benjamin, and Ryan. He is preceded in death by his parents. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Camel Club 410 West Keota, Ottumwa, Iowa 52501 with friends in service doing the officiating.
