Obituary for \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Scott Allen Spinler\n\r\n\t\t\t\tScott Allen Spinler Dateline: Albia Scott Allen Spinler, age 40, a lifelong resident of Albia, was called home to join our Lord in heaven on February 16, 2011. Scott passed away peacefully at his home. Scott was born May 2, 1970 to Gary and Barbara (Wilson) Spinler, at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland. Scott attended Melrose Elementary School, and then the Albia High School, graduating in 1989. After school, he worked for the A&W Restaurant before joining the Army National Guard. Scott served honorably for the National Guard. After his army service was completed, he worked for Pella Corporation, the White Buffalo and Skean Block. Scott had recently returned to the White Buffalo to pursue his passion for cooking. Scott loved hot rods, and loved animals. His biggest passion was riding motorcycles, especially riding in charity rides, such as the Hogs for Dogs. Scott greatest love was his children. He was blessed with six beautiful children: Brittany, Amber, Casarah, Rebecca, Tyler, and Nicole who all survive him. He is also survived by his parents, Gary and Barbara of Belen, New Mexico; two grandchildren, Trentin Spinler and Abigail Williams; brother Tom (JoAnn) Spinler of Albia, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lee and Georgina Wilson of Russell. Scott's love of life was large and his talents were unwavering. He leaves behind a collection of friends who have been blessed to share in his life's many adventures. His infectious laugh and wit, along with his ability to spin a tall tale will be missed by all of those who loved him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albia with Father Mike Volkmer officiating. Burial will follow in Oak View Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Howard Cessna Post 136 of Albia. Visitation will take place on Monday, opening to the public at 1:00 p.m. and the family will be present from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at the Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Albia.
