Obituary for \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Teddy Carl Visser\n\r\n\t\t\t\tTeddy Carl Visser, of Lovilia, age 81, died Friday evening April 22, 2011 at the Monroe Care Center in Albia. He was born January 8, 1930 near Lovilia to Carl Garrett and Ella Mae (Clark) Visser. After School, Teddy enlisted with the Air force. He married Alice Colleen Clipperton on June 3, 1951 in Hamilton. He was a Truck Driver. Teddy was a member of the Lovilia United Methodist Church. He liked to spend time at his cabin on the river with his friends. He enjoyed reading, had an extensive collection of John Wayne memorabilia, and truly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Alice Colleen, son Larry (Linda) Visser of Lovilia, grandchildren: Chad (Windy) Toopes of Ottumwa, James (Jennifer) Toopes of Lovilia, John (Jodi) Toopes of Lovilia, Karrie (Dusty) Hutchinson of Lovilia, Seth (Sarah) Visser of Centerville, seven great grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He is preceded in death by on son in infancy, Terry, and daughter, Chris Visser, and on dauther in law, Kamarie Visser. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Lovilia United Methodist Church in Lovilia with Rev. Dale Schoening officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Howard Cessna Post 136 of Albia. Visitation will take place on Monday, opening to the public at 1:00 p.m. and the family will be present from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at the Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lovilia.
