Veronica Lea Babcock, age 68, died on March 10, 2021 at MercyOne Medical Center. \n\nVeronica was born May 14, 1952 in Ottumwa, IA to Richard and Wilma Robbins. On January 1, 1975, she married Cleon (Butch) Babcock. They lived in Ottumwa until they moved to Sigourney about 20 years ago. Veronica enjoyed spending time with family, painting her finger nails, watching scary movies, jewelry, and loved her daily milkshake. \n\nSurvivors include 6 children, Jennifer (Johnathan) Selix of Ottumwa, Michael Babcock of Sigourney, Deora (Ronald) Vernon of Albia, Lacy (Curt) Fowler of Fremont, Cayla (Matt) Neef of Brooklyn, and Chris Babcock of Victor; her son/brother Scott Robbins; sixteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; her sisters, Joann Robbins, Patricia Robbins, Kim Bolin; mother, Wilma (Joyce) Robbins. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Robbins; grandson, Garrett Shaffer; brother, Randy Robbins; sister, Debra Robbins; son-in-law Shawn Shaffer. \n\nVeronica has been cremated per his wishes with no formal services planned at this time.
