Obituary for \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Vincent Beary\n\r\n\t\t\t\tLeo Vincent Beary, age 90, of Albia, formerly of Lovilia died on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Oakwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albia. He was born on April 11, 1923 to William and Anna (Malloy) Beary. Vincent was the Lovilia Class of 1941 Salutatorian. He married Mary Jo Lee on June 25, 1966 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Ottumwa. He was a lifetime farmer. He was a Knights of Columbus St. Mary's Council 4167 and a Fourth Degree member of the James R. Baldridge Assembly 1925. Vincent was a hard worker, and was a man of God. He always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed helping people and spending time with his friends, family and especially grandchildren. Vincent also enjoyed going to the Knights of Columbus Hall to play Euchre. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo of Albia; children, Chris (Tom) Dykstra of Albia, Bob (Tammy) Beary of Albia, Donald Beary, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, siblings, Leonard Beary of Des Moines, Wilma Hollinrake of Des Moines, Marilyn Comer of Des Moines, John Lowell (Mary Jo) Beary of Overland Park, KS, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna Beary, siblings, Gerald Beary, Charlotte McAfee, Cecilia Brees, Mildred Kelleher, and MaDonna Murphy. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albia with Father Michael E. Volkmer C.PP.S officiating. Burial will follow Luncheon in Melrose at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2014 opening the public at 1:00 pm. There will be a rosary led by Knights of Columbus St. Mary's Council 4167 at 6:00 pm and a Christian Wake Service held at 6:30 pm.
