Virginia June (Williams) Rinehart passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the Taylor House in Des Moines.\n\nShe was born on November 9, 1932 in La Porte City, Iowa to Clifford and Frances (Rogers) Williams. She attended school in La Porte City and then received her BA in 1956 from Iowa State Teachers College. She taught school in Central City, Waterloo, and Spirit Lake and later worked at the Iowa State Training school in Eldora.\n\nOn June 5, 1955 she married George J. Rinehart. They were parents of three children, Cindy Kay (Ken) Wright, Steven Scot Rinehart, and Lori Ann Rinehart (John Meister).\n\nVirginia was a member to the Trinity United Methodist Church in Albia. She was also a member of the PEO. She enjoyed reading and gardening.\n\nVirginia is survived by her two daughters, Cindy and Lori, two son-in-laws, Ken and John, grandchildren, Daniel (Katy) Wright, Amanda Wright, Anna (June) Lewinmeister, Jackson Meister, Will Rinehart, Ginnie (Jose) Mejia and Saville (Nichole) Lee and great-grandchildren, Wesley, Ronin, Tristin, Joshua, Cole, Conner, Francis, Davon, Savanna, Miles, Naomi and Malcom and a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Rinehart.\n\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, son Steven and a granddaughter Lisa Hoard.\n\nMemorials may be directed to Taylor House Hospice. \n\nNo services are planned.
